Black Friday has turned into "our day." We stay up and go shopping and have the day off alone together. But this year he had to work. I was at home watching Ellen, of course, and he called me like he always does when he gets out of work. He said he was cleaning up and would be home soon. When our puppy, Raja, and I heard him pull in I opened the door to let Raja greet him outside. 

To my surprise there was Matt grinning ear to ear with a huge beautiful bouquet of flowers. He walked inside and said, “I talked to your dad today.” We both started laughing hysterically. He got down on a knee and asked if I would marry him. I said yes. He said, “here you go.” I asked, “here you go?!” He said, “I don’t know which finger it goes on.” Eventually we got it on the correct finger and embraced in a hug and a kiss… still laughing.
